Real estate management in the city of Zurich using ActionWorks Metro
and SAP R3
|
ActionWorks® Metro in combination with
SAP® software secures the efficient processing of the economical
and technical tasks. The rollout of ActionWorks® Metro and SAP®-R/3
Financials took place in schedule on December 2001. Due to the extensive
requests on the future real-estate-controlling-solution, the in-house-tasks/orders
represented one of the most important components within the SAP®
system. With ActionWorks® Metro the necessary increase of efficiency
was achieved for the handling of interactive business processes.
The broad portfolio of buildings has to include the costs caused
by tenants (rented-objects) thereby taking into account the originators.
Vacancies- and investment- measures-figures have to be observable,
which applies also for the depreciation of the buildings. The real
estate management of the city of Zurich uses ActionWorks® Metro
for the application, authorization, issuance and supervision of
orders and tasks
|
Advantages with ActionWorks® Metro
|
A selection of the achieved results:
- Tasks are negotiated between the project-manager and the superiors
in time
- The Controlling is always well aware about the order situation concerning
the enterprise
- The structures of orders and information are authorized and known
by the superiors
- Up-to-date-information for project-managers and superiors with regard
to the current status of tasks and orders
- Incorrect jobs are reduced to a minimum
- Extensive plausibility- and consistency-checks are ensured
- Transfer postings due to incorrect information (like account regulations,
investment programs etc.) are not necessary
The introduction of ActionWorks® Metro with SAP® R/3 took place parallel
to the introduction from SAP® R/3.

Central management of the global
non-life reinsurance book of biz - The Global Renewal
|
In view of the high stakes, the Global
Clients unit of Europe-Division and the Group IT division developed
a web-based solution to respond to the task set by the client. AXA
Cessions in Paris, the unit responsible for implementing and monitoring
the benchmarking process within the AXA Group, provided the reinsurer’s
with the reinsurance programes and the renewal information in electronic
form. This information was loaded onto Swiss Re’s website, which
provided an optimum platform from which to support the global ActionWorks
Metro workflow. The process essentially entailed exchanging and
monitoring reinsurance and market knowledge among more than 180
Swiss Re client managers and underwriters from over 30 locations
at local, divisional and Group level. In less than four weeks the
AXA Global Client team was able to submit the desired offers to
AXA Cessions in electronic form for all 53 AXA Group’s branch offices.

Project "Chysalis" at USWest
in Denver, CO

Development of an enterprise's front-end
to a role-based single-sign-on system, integrated with the desktop's
security facilities. The system (in production since 1997) is used
by a 15,000 users community and addresses about 600 legacy systems.
After passing the desktop's security, the user is presented with
the set of application s/he can access (depending on the user's
roles); activation of any application invokes an auditable background
authorization and automated log-in scripts. The system supports
a variety of parameterisations and runtime changes. The overall
system's cost-to full satisfaction-has been about 10% of the client's
other alternative.
